Vicki Bott is an Engagement Director at Reference Point.
In addition to her client responsibilities, Vicki is focused on capitalizing our housing finance expertise and recruiting top-tier talent who can serve our clients in all business cycles whether building, enhancing, or streamlining their lending business. Her experience in all aspects of mortgage lending allows her to have a keen understanding of the challenges facing the industry in both creating strategy for the cyclical mortgage market and effectively implementing across the organization.
Prior to consulting, Vicki has 35 years of mortgage lending and began her career in retail and wholesale lending sale management. Following a decade in sales management, Vicki transitioned to leadership positions in operations, credit and compliance management which have been integral in providing her holistic view of the mortgage process. During the housing crisis, Vicki was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary at Housing and Urban Development (HUD) overseeing the FHA single family program which included policy, quality assurance and servicing. This offered invaluable insight into the challenges facing government agencies and the impacts on the private sector. She returned to the private sector and played key management roles aimed at building operations, credit and compliance capabilities, as well as merger and acquisition activity. Vicki holds a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University and resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.
